Term: Nucleus of the solitary tract medial part
Definition: According to Berman 1968, Conteras et al. 1982. NB: This subdivision does not appear in the hierarchy Swanson 1998, but appears in the atlas levels 58-73. It is composed of a rostral part which is the sole structure of the Gustatory division of the Midbrain-Hindbrain and of a caudal part which is a structure of the Visceral division.
