Term: Parafascicular nucleus
Definition: Gurdjian 1927. A closely related centre médian nucleus is now commonly identified in primates but not rodents. However, Krieg (1944) pointed out what he regarded as the equivalent of a centre médian nucleus in the rat, as did Kruger et al. 1995.
