Term: Periaqueductal gray dorsolateral division

Definition: According to Beitz 1985, Herbert and Saper 1992. This is perhaps the clearest division of the caudal PAG cytoarchitectonically (small, densely packed neurons), and because of this the dorsal division is also very easy to distinguish.
