Description of part

Between this structure, the medial and lateral septal nuclei and the nucleus accumbens, extends the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (nuc. proprius stria terminalis). It will be recalled that this structure together with the nuc. accumbens septi ha also been terrmed the motor olfactory striatum, or olfactostriatum, names which are now obsolete. Collator note: the abbreviation was adapted by the collator.
