The delineation of the solitary tract nucleus (Figs. 83-93) was based on Luan Ling Zhang (1999) and on McRitchie (1992) and is similar t o the delineations in the rat described by Norgren (1995) for the rostral, gustatory part and by Saper (1995) for the caudal, autonomic part.
