The abbreviation of Nucleus habenulae was adopted by the collator and adapted from the Human brain nomenclature Bowden 2002 (the Latin of the Habenula, same used for Habenula, in this nomenclature). Collator note: we have adopted this abbreviation in order to distinguish it from hte abbreviation of Habenula. This structure appears as directly under the thalamencephalon in the hierarchical list pages 80-94, even though the description of the thalamencephalon refers only to three distinct subdivisions: thalamus, epithalamus and metathalamus.
