Synonyms

Terminal-of-passage ( Swanson & Bota, 2010 ) : A terminal (Cajal, 1899) on a very short stalk that protrudes from an axon trunk or axon collateral (Cajal, 1899) along its course rather than at the terminal arborization (Cajal, 1888) of the trunk or collateral.
