Description of part

Within the dorsal aspects of the posterior part of the AH there is a small, dense cluster of cells that is positive for glutamic acid decarboxylase in the rat. Paxinos and Watson (1986) named it the stigmoid (dot-like) nucleus (Stg; Fig. 41).
