abbreviation: AH

Abbreviation

AH

Species

Mouse

Description of part

Controversy exists over the location of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus. We followed Paxinos and Watson (1986) in dividing the AH into three parts that merge into each other. However, our most anterior part is immediately dorsal to that which was identifiedby Saper et al. (1978) as the anterior part of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus.
